Yesterday I made this blog force anyone trying to enter the non-www version of this blog, to the www one. So for example, entering bitsniff.com/blog/article, will lead you yo www.bitsniff.com/blog/article. This has its benefits(might make an article about it in the future), and it’s really easy to accomplish. So I thought I might share this with those of you who havn’t got this working, or just heard of it. (Only works with WordPress)

1. Change WordPress Adress

Enter the admin section of your blog, and go to Options. This should lead you to the General tab, which is the one we need. In the WordPress address and Blog address, enter your desired URI. In this case http://www.bitsniff.com/blog.

2. Enforce www. Preference

Download and install the plugin Enforce www. Preference. This plugin will force all of your visitors to either the no-www or the yes-www version of your address, depending on your choice in the first step. So in this case, if anyone enter http://bitsniff.com/blog/10/goals/, they will end up at http://www.bitsniff.com/blog/10/goals/.

Thats it! Easy, huh? Got any questions? Feel free to leave a comment :)
